Enermax provides consumers with quality products from PC chassis
to high end power supplies. Today we will be looking at one product in
particular the T.B.VEGAS DUO 12 cm Multi-LED fan. This is a unique product
because of its ability to change into 11 different LED modes to give your PC
setup a bit of a Vegas style taste. This 120mm fan also features Twister
Bearing technology which we will get into more detail later on in the review.
Now is a great time to take a quick look at packaging and accessories.
The packaging of the T.B.VEGAS DUO is very nice, it uses a unique
plastic box with a see through window to show you what the product looks like
before your even open it. The package contains the 120mm T.B.VEGAS DUO, four
rubber isolator mounts, a single 3-pin to 4-pin Molex adapter and two adhesive
tapes.
The T.B.VEGAS DUO is an LED fan that uses 36 (18 Red/18
Blue) diodes and can be up to five times brighter than other LED fans, as a
result this fan may not work with chassis fan controllers due to limitation of
power for the fan and its LED’s. However the fan itself does come with a RPM
dial (max 1700 RPM) to allow you to adjust the speed of the fan without the use
of a separate fan controller. A button is attached to the T.B.VEGAS DUO as well
to allow you to change its color modes.

The blades of the T.B.VEGAS DUO are half mirror and half clear to deliver the resulting light effects (Focus Blade Design). This fan would be a great addition for a blue or red theme case; it will produce a lot of light to help the accents of the other red or blue components. The airflow the T.B.VEGAS DUO provides is more than capable of helping your system stay cool. The VEGAS DUO seemed to stay at reasonable sound levels even when the RPM's were raised. There was a slight noise increase when the RPM's reached about 1000(RPM), but not as bad when compared to other fans we have tested in the past.This is always a good result, people don't enjoy hearing loud obnoxious noises coming from within the case.
The T.B.VEGAS DUO uses Twister Bearing technology, which reduces the bearing contact area for a effective noise reduction, provides a rotor with an integrated magnet to allow for a frictionless and smooth operation, and a self-lubricating bearing sleeve which results in a longer lifetime (100,000 MTBF). The blade of the VEGAS DUA can also be detached from the base to allow easy cleaning capabilities.
All in all this fan is awesome, It allows you to spice up your case (if your into that) and provides a good amount of airflow as well. With the included speed controller you can have full control of your fan without worrying about having an additional fan controller or fan controlling software within the OS. With all of the added features and technologies, Switchable LED, focus blade design, detachable blades for quick cleaning, and the Twister bearing, everything goes hand in hand to deliver performance and looks.
